The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumours of liaisons and a divorce bristle, agreement is anointed for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and boozing, shooting and hunting. Diana knows video games. But this year, things will be acutely different. Spencer is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fated days.

The film, written by Steven Knight, wizards Kristen Stewart, Jack Farthing, Sally Hawkins, Timothy Spall, and Sean Harris.

Spencer, directed by Pablo Larrain, arrives in theaters on November 5, 2021.
