While talking with emcees Derek Lawrence and Chanelle Berlin Johnson, Vin opened up about why he roughly backed out.

” Universal resolved up being involved in the release of Coal black, the only other movie I had done of that immensity, and so they said,’ We get this movie that’s about illegal street car racing, and we want you to play this persona, who’s a tough guy, veto, with a heart and a code ,'” he shared.” Then they describe that panorama you are presented in the first movie, where the camera goes through my attention and down my appendage and into the engine, and that’s the only thing they described. And I said,’ Yes, I’m in !'”

However, after first saying yes, Vin started to second guess his decision.

” The next day I’m supposed to go the premiere in Australia for Soot black, and I predict the script and I move …” Vin paused and give away a disappointing rustle.” I’m conflicted now, because this script is not what I thought it would be .”

However, the script got an overhaul, thanks to writer David Ayer.

” The incongruity is, I felt like I had get what the character wanted to be in the first dialogue, but I felt there were things conflicting with this truth — and that’s where David came in ,” Vin computed.

He went on,” I retain him saying,’ The Dom character is so complex, I’ve never seen anything like it since Alonzo .’ I appreciated that he was able to see the intricacies of the character … And some other people needed some fine-tuning as well, like the Letty character. I’m just so lucky they were open to it all and that they really wanted me to feel great and confident about it. That’s not the normal Hollywood story — but my Hollywood floor “ve never been” the normal Hollywood story .”
