Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hasn’t supported a single White House press briefing in 2019

President Trump spoke up on Twitter this morning was why the White House hasn’t regarded a press briefing since December 18, 2018- the longest stretch of time without a press briefing in American history. He said that Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hadn’t stepped up to the platform in over a month because the press gives her rudely and that coverage that follows the briefings is “inaccurate.”

He said,” I told her not to bother .”

” The rationalization Sarah Sanders does not go to the’ platform’ much anymore is that the press crosses her so rudely& inaccurately, including with regard to sure-fire members of the press ,” the president said, in a tweet of course.” I told her not to bother, the word gets out regardless! Most will never clothe us reasonably& hence, the word, Fake News !”

The rationale Sarah Sanders does not go to the “podium” much anymore is that the press shields her so rudely& inaccurately, including with regard to specific members of the press. I told her not to bother, the word gets out regardless! Most will never comprise us moderately& hence, the expression, Fake News!

White House spokesman Hogan Gidley told Fox News on Tuesday morning that Sanders would manager back to the platform” when she concludes a reason to do that ,” and Trump’s tweet seems to be a response to Gidley’s statement, redressing and expanding on it.

SMITH: The last we checked, there has not been[ a press briefing] contained this year, Hogan. Is there any plans to start that back up again or ensure Sarah Sanders back up at the platform?

Some reports say that Trump was irked that Gidley didn’t instantly blame the media for the absence of press briefings.

West Wing source says Trump is annoyed with Hogan Gidley for NOT telling Fox News that media bias is to blame for the rarity of Sarah Sanders’ instruct area illusions. Hence his tweet this morning about reporters flooding her “rudely and inaccurately.” https :// t.co/ OGL0Y 6ucxt

This is the 34 th daylight in a row without a press briefing. In the last four months, there have only been four- despite huge amounts of large-breaking national word narratives coming out of the White House and Washington, DC.

In contrast, the Obama Administration had a press briefing almost every day. During the 2013 authority shutdown, Obama’s Press Secretary, Jay Carney, regarded ten daily press instructs, in addition to news conference with Obama himself.

The last-place age a press briefing was held was in mid-December, epoches before the partial government shutdown began. Since then, Sanders has been sometimes and privately talking to the press outside of the White House- work practices that President Trump also engages in regularly when he’s leaving or returning to the White House, in addition to his very regular accounts to the public over Twitter.

According to ABC News, Sanders has also been taking questions off-camera outside of her place in the West Wing, where reporters now crowd to try to gather information.

The American Presidency Project shared data related to Sanders and her press instructions in comparison to past Press Secretaries. Sanders not only has had the least number of instructs over meter, she also has some of the shortest with fewest questions( and some of the ones with the most contentious exchanges ). Her press conferences also include the least extent of applause and laughter.

As ABC News correspondent Karen Travers pointed out on Twitter in response to Trump’s statement, the White House seems to be moving toward talking to traditionally conservative Fox News immediately instead of talking to the press in general- only this morning, three White House officials spoke with Fox about large-scale news narrations, leaving other networks without info, and leaving press instructs to the wayside.

“the word gets out anyway! ”

The last White House briefing was Dec 18.

Per @alex_mallin, 3 separate White House officials precisely this morning have appeared on Fox News or Fox Business to answer Qs on the shutdown and the economy. https :// t.co/ ddUQmH5 2oj

This is just the latest strategy that Trump’s using to engaged what he calls” imitation information ,” which seems to be any coverage of his presidency that isn’t flattering. He has spoken out dozens, if not hundreds of periods, in the past about how his arrogance for coverage from the majority of national media channels , specially CNN, The New York Times, and MSNBC. In November, he went as far as disallowing CNN reporter Jim Acosta from the White House after screaming at him during a rare and ludicrous press conference.
