Perth Glory have drawn off a huge coup by ratifying former Liverpool and England star Daniel Sturridge for the upcoming -ALeague Men’s season.

Sturridge is a two-time UEFA Champions League and FA Cup winner who scored 68 goals during a six-year spell at Liverpool and also won a Premier League title with Chelsea.

At international level, he was part of England’s squad at both the 2014 World cup finals and 2016 UEFA European Championships and boasted for Team Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics in London.

The 32 -year-old left Turkish side Trabzonspor in March last year after being entrust a four-month worldwide ban for transgressing betting conventions.

Sturridge is now relishing the prospect of beginning a brand-new section at the Glory.

” When the opportunity came about, it felt like the right thing to do, to make my geniu somewhere where I can enjoy my football in a competitive tournament and try and help the team be as successful as they possibly can be.
