Henry Golding has confirmed filming is done on the G.I. Joe Snake Eyes movie spinoff. Golding, who constructed his specify playing the scurry Nick Young in 2018 ‘s Crazy Rich Asians, is performing as the titular character, taking over from Ray Park from the previous two G.I. Joe live-action movies. The cinema itself will reboot the franchise by exploring Snake Eyes’ backstory and how he evolved into a deadly ninja commando who famously never evidences his face. Product went underway last-place October, with Golding performing and chairman Robert Schwentke( RED) visit the shots from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos( Charlie’s Angels 2019 ).

Snake Eyes is now officially done shooting, as Golding supported with a affix on Instagram( view the epitome below ). The photo shows a small clapperboard for the movie shall be included in signatures from, probably, the Snake Eyes cast and crew. Production begin with in Vancouver last year before moving to Japan back in January.

Paramont is hoping third time’s the allure for G.I. Joe, after its first two live-action movies struggled to perform as well as hoped( either critically or commercially ). Golding is certainly a smart choice to build the rebooted G.I. Joe franchise around, being a relatively young up and comer. He’s merely continued to make a name for himself since Crazy Rich Asians by delivering a series of very varied, yet employing, acts in A Simple Favor, Last Christmas, and The Gentlemen over the last two years. Whether that, in combination with the rest of the assign and the refers wielding behind the scenes, will be enough to construct Snake Eyes a thump, that’s another matter.

Joining Golding in the throw are Andrew Koji( Warrior) as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais( The Raid) as Hard Master, Samara Weaving( Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Ursula Corbero( Money Heist) as Baroness, Haruka Abe( Avenue 5) as Akiko, Takehiro Hira( Girl/ Haji) as Kenta, and Steven Allerick( The Expanse) as Snake Eyes’ papa. On the opposite side of the camera, Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing along with Stephen Davis, Josh Feldman, and Brian Goldner. The movie is being released by Paramount Pictures and is scheduled to open in theaters this fall on October 23, 2020.
