Emilia Clarke please open about the risque stages she did on Game of Thrones and how she felt pressured into clean down on set.
The 33 -year-old actress, who represented the iconic Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO series, chatted with superfan Dax Shepard for the latest episode of his Armchair Expert podcast.
Emilia said that her experience on the Game of Thrones set has helped her gain control of her future in the entertainment industry.
” I’m a lot more savvy now with what I’m cozy with, and what I am okay with doing ,” Emilia said.” I’ve had defends onset before where I’m like,’ No, the sheet remains up ,’ and they’re like,’ You don’t want to frustrate your Game of Thrones love .’ And I’m like,’ F-ck you .'”
Emilia decided to go through with the on-screen nudity because she was so inexperienced when she landed the role.
” I took the job and then they transmitted me the dialogues and I was reading them, and I was like,’ Oh, there’s the catch !'” she said.” But I’d come fresh from drama school and I approached it as a enterprise, if it’s in the write then it’s clearly needed, this is what this is and I’m going to make sense of it. Everything’s going to be cool .”
Emilia ascribes co-star Jason Momoa with spawning her more cozy on set.
” It was obviously hard-handed, which is why the situations when I have to go to do them with Jason, were wonderful, because he was like,’ No sugared, this isn’t okay ,'” she said.” He took care of me, extremely. In an environment where I didn’t know I needed to be taken care of .”
