Syfy is notorious for the production of low-budget proves and canceling them after one season, and Day of the Dead seems destined for that same demise. Thin, unlikeable attributes make punishment for a cruelty movie, but it’s a lot harder to want to stick with them for 10 incidents. There might be some life in the series if it ramps up the goofy war, but based on the premiere episode, Day of the Dead seems more likely to be immersed by the competition.
