Zack Snyder has shared a brand-new image of him wearing Ben Affleck’s Batman cowl. After the big success of the MCU, Snyder was tasked with creating a cinematic cosmo of DC people, starting with Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel in 2013. The director then went on to direct Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, before Joss Whedon took over the latter. Snyder’s first two DC movies were controversial for various reasons, but Zack Snyder’s Justice League, liberated earlier this year, has been praised by supporters and critics alike.

One of the more controversial alternatives shaped in Snyder’s DC movies was shedding Affleck as Batman. Nearly every performer to step into the role of the Caped Crusader has been criticized by DC love at first, and Affleck got his fair share of hate online. Affleck’s version of Batman focused on an older Bruce Wayne, one who has been fighting crime for years and read Robin killed by the Joker. Affleck’s Batman has become more relished over the years, with countless now praising Affleck’s more mature and aged portrayal of the character. Affleck was at one point going to direct, write, and whiz in a solo Batman movie, but Warner Bros. recast Robert Pattinson in the capacity after Affleck removed out.

The story of how the Snyder Cut came to be is well-known at this station. After the movie’s release, there has been a big disapproval to Restore the Snyder-Verse, but Warner Bros. has been demonstrated no those who are interested in continuing Snyder’s vision. The epilogue in the Snyder Cut applied a pester at what the next movie in the trilogy would have looked like, focusing on the Knightmare timeline where Darkseid takes see of Superman. Batman would have played a big role in the Justice League sequels and would have eventually been killed off to save Lois Lane from Darkseid. This, regrettably, likely won’t ever get made, with Warner Bros. considering the Snyder Cut a dead end and Snyder currently not interested in offsetting comic book movies.

Unlike Snyder, Affleck isn’t fairly does so with the DCEU. His reshoots for the Snyder Cut were believed to be Affleck’s final period playing the specific characteristics; however, it was announced in August that he would be appearing as Batman alongside Michael Keaton in The Flash. It’s unknown how big-hearted of a role he will have in the movie, but given the actor’s past observations, it will likely be the end of his DCEU career. Affleck is most known for playing Batman at this spot, and similarly, DC will always be a part of Snyder’s legacy. Even if he won’t get to finish his Justice League trilogy, it’s clear Snyder still enjoys committing with fans and posting DC content. And as the above image makes clear, being the director of a DC movie has its perks.
