It’s not very often that hypercars develop out of the United District but that’s exactly what the Czinger 21 C has done and Top Gear’s Jack Rix recently had the opportunity to take an exclusive up-close look at the car.

The company is founded by a lover appointed Kevin Czinger. That figure know it sounds familiar as Czinger revealed what could be considered the predecessor to the 21 C back in 2015 with a supercar concept that used 3D etching in building. Before that, Czinger founded Coda Automotive, a small startup that briefly built an electric sedan in California before going bankrupt in 2013.

What concludes the 21 C particularly interesting is how it is constructed. As Rix discovers, many of the vehicle’s constituents are designed by computers and 3D published, developing in a lightweight and modular blueprint and helping to cut down on costs.

This clip also offers some previously-unknown details about the vehicle. One particularly interesting design choice is an exhaust with two shops that are angled in such a way the car will be able to spit X-shaped flames. Now, that’s cool.

Rix likewise gets the opportunity to jump into the cockpit. Thanks to the tandem 1+1 layout, moves be sitting in the centre for human rights of the cockpit while just behind them is a single seat for a passenger. It’s a scheme suggestive of a flow soldier as well as the Spanish Tramontana.

Driving the Czinger 21 C is a 2.88 -liter flat-plane crank V8 with two turbochargers and is complemented by two electrical engines at the figurehead axle. All up, the car churns out 1,232 hp and weighs time 1,250 kg. Czinger says it’ll hit 62 mph( 100 km/ h) in 1.9 seconds and a 268 mph( 432 km/ h) top speed.
