When to Visit
Wild Waves will remain closed for the 2020 season.
The least hectic durations at Wild Waves are school day, chilly days and sodden and windy epoches. You would think going to the park on a rainy day would be a bummer, but our kid reviewers say the razzes are just as fun and with less people, the lines are a lot shorter very. We’ve likewise had good luck visiting on July 4 since most lineages are busy at barbecues and parades.
The busiest occasions are, as you may have predicted, long festivity weekends and time eras when school’s out. But even when the common is jam-pack, you can still have a great time–just be sure to pack your persistence. On those daylights, it’s best to arrive right after the common opens to give your family a jump start before the big crowds arrive.
Wild Waves hours alternate from day to day. Be sure to check their current schedule online.

What to Pack for the Day
We suggest bringing a change of drapes for each member of your family. Of direction, you’ll need a swimsuit for Wild Waves. Shoes are not allowed on water magnetisms, but they are required for the theme park travels. Easy slip on waterproof sandals work well–flip-flops are penalize, but you’ll have to take them off on some travels like the Hang Glider and the Soaring Eagle or they may fly off! The park suggests that you wear dry shirts and heaves( or short-liveds) on all entertainments and we couldn’t agree more! It’s not fair to see other clients be engaged in a puddle that you left from your sticky swimming paraphernalium. You’ll probably be a lot more comfortable too.
We suggest you bring goggles, swimsuit cover-ups, swim diapers for your little ones, beach towels, sun screen, daylight hats or baseball caps and a personal floating device if your kiddo needs it.( It must be US Coast Guard approved or you can borrow one for free near the cupboard rentals–first come, first provided .) You might also want to bring a few plastic bags to put your soggy swim gear in, a few cases empty-headed water bottles( you can fill them up with spray at the drinking fountains) and don’t underestimate the importance of flip busts or shoes. Those concrete pathways get hot during the summer! A stroller can be nice to have as well. If you don’t want to pack them, single stroller rentals are available for$ 8, doubled strollers for $11, wheelchairs for $12 and motorized scooters for $30.
Hint: If you forget anything, you can buy swimsuits, beach towels, sunglasses, flip-flops and sunblock at the common, but it’s going to be a bit pricey!

A Jawesome New Ride& Wave Pool Feature
Editor’s note: The above epitome is from a sister ballpark, as this journey is currently under construction at Wild Waves in Federal Way.
2020 may have visitors wondering if it’s safe to go back in the irrigate( yes !) after travelling the park’s newest stimulate journey, Shark Frenzy. It sets families in the hot seat, journeying in the gape speaks of clique sharks. And while these breaching ogres circle around, they likewise whirl from side-to-side for a absolutely dizzying effect.
Also brand-new for 2020: You are aware of the beckon reserve from past summers as a great spot to journey shiftless grows in the 500,000 -gallon pool. This time, expect a ripples that are a bit more rock ‘n’ roll than they are country. The new WaveTech motion generation organization supplements wheeling, diagonal and peaking beckon dimension to this familiar favorite. Toddlers can still enjoy the gentle surf down at the beach and everyone can still chill out in the warming tubs. A giant brand-new LED screen that’s as shining in the daytime as it is at night rounds out the summer’s brand-new additives( hello, daytime music vids, trivia games and sports !).

Raider Ahoy!
There’s plenty of fun-filled undertakings for everyone in your crew at Wild Waves’ water park. From the exhilaration of rushing down a wriggle irrigate slither or catching the big one in the Wave Pool, to cruising down the Lazy River or loosening in a warming tub.
Young pirates can attack Fastens Lagoon( minimum height is 36 ”; maximum is 54” ), paddle in the shallows, squirt mom with a spray cannon and play in the cataracts. Climb up the histories of a humid tree house and zip down not earlier than seven slithers( minimum stature for the moves is 42 ”). But look out below! Every ten minutes the Cap’n’s bucket drops 200 gallons of sea onto little scallywags!

Mountain Dew Triple Slide Complex
There are lots of slips to discover at the common. Some of the very best are are available at the Mountain Dew Triple Slide Complex–three outrageously fun twisters that will send you racing towards splashdown at high velocity( a modest exaggeration !). Try all three, vote on which one you think is the best and go back for a final flee before moving on.
photo: Wild Waves
Zooma Falls
For an adventure the whole family will enjoy at the same time, try the larger-than-life Zooma Falls. This monstrous slip allows up to four equestrians to experience huge curves and turns before cruising under a cascade. Other moves involving the four serpentine Konga Slides, each one guaranteed to twist, wind and send you flying out of the tube!
Ever wondered what it feels like to be evened down a lavatory? If so, the Riptide’s for you. After a immerse lower, you’ll swirl around and around the bowl before being sucked down the drain. Other soak enjoyable are available on the Raging River Ride( which you can go solo or ride with a friend) and the Activity Pool( for strong swimmers exclusively ).
photo: Wild Waves
Konga Lazy River
After a hair-raising go on the slithers, take a relaxing trip down the Konga Lazy River as it gale its road for the purposes of the slides. It’s a fairly tranquil go except for a few sprinklers popping up here there are still. And you can go round and round as many times as you like( but we intimate shorter errands during the course of its peaks period in the ballpark .) Both our big and little baby reviewers return it two thumbs up!
Tubes are available for free at every slide, but if you want to skip the line you can choose to rent your own personal tube for $ 10 per single or $13 per doubled plus a$ 2 refundable accumulation. We’d simply recommend acquiring a tubing if it’s a super hectic daytime, as we’ve never had to wait long to get one.
photo: Wild Waves
Dive-In Movies
Friday lights are even more fun at the Wave Pool as Wild Waves presents its “Dive In” movie theater. Dive-In Movie are free for both Season Pass ticket owners and those with a daily park admittance ticket. Stay after the park closes, seizure a tube, and hop in the Wave Pool to kick back with a new secrete or supporter favorite flick!

The Other “Waves” at the Park
Other “waves” can be found across the way in the theme park area in the form of roller coasters. Atop the hill, sits the Timberhawk Ride of Prey–the largest wooden roller coaster in Washington and this park’s crown jewel. The autoes take a leisurely climb to the top with amazing views of the park, then whoosh you’re off, sinking down plummets, propelling through twistings and turns dare you not to duck as you go through the pit shaft.
photo: Wild Waves
The Wild Thing& Klondike Gold Rusher
The Wild Thing with its loop-de-loop and two corkscrews is guaranteed to raise your heart rate. And as if one trip around isn’t enough…The Wild Thing gets around twice.( Psst…when you go upside down, keep your eyes open and seem straight-out onward, so you don’t get dizzy .)
Over at the Klondike Gold Rusher, there are no precious metals to be found, but it’s a amusing move just the same. We have a alerting though. This “mad mouse” type ride is quite jarring and quite a bit scarier than it seems, but it’s a excite if your teenagers are up for it. There are sudden removes, sharp turns and your cart will seem like it’s about quite prepared to fly off the tracks. Don’t worry though, it won’t.
photo: Wild Waves
Thrill Rides
A large-hearted baby fave in the park is Lumberjack Falls–a log flume ride that’ll send you plunging 50 feet into the water. “It may seem like a tsunami is moistening over you, ” said one of our big-hearted child reviewers. You will get wet…but so will the people standing on the connection, if they’re not careful.
The Brain Drain is perhaps the scariest ride in the common. After getting buckled in you’ll be raised to the top of the 85 -foot tall tower that declines with coerces equivalent to 3 G’s! Only big-hearted minors need apply as the minimum elevation is 52”.
If that doesn’t scare you, perhaps The Ring of Fire will. Our grownup reviewers elected it the scariest ride in the common and it receives stellar re-examines from adolescents. It’s a 360 -degree looping coaster that spurs you back and forth up the sides of the road until it picks up momentum and invents you right around. Then, halfway through the ride you will reverse and go in the other direction! What’s not to love about that?
The Timber Axe is another gravity-defying stomach churner that’ll swing you back and forth before turning you upside down.
photo: Wild Waves
The Disk’O Flashback& More
Hoist the Jolly roger and timber the Pirate Ship if ye dare–this galleon cliffs backward and forward until it’s virtually vertical. Harmonizing to one kid reviewer, “Each time you go up it feels like you’re stroking the sky, but if you’re at the back of the ship it feels like you’re going to land on your face.”
The Disk’O Flashback won’t remind you of John Travolta or the Bee Gees, but it may see you dizzy as it spins on its half-pipe track.
The park presents two additional stimulates if you are up for it or are ready to shell out a few horses more to experience them.( Those with an Annual Pass receive special discounts on these .) The Soaring Eagle zooms you high above the anchor for terrific views of the park, before zipping back down again. For the real adrenaline admirers in your fam, the attention-getting I-5 Dive Skycoaster is an exhilarating, high bungee put that will give you a good sentiment of the ballpark if you dare to open your eyes.

Tamer Rides
For a more leisurely gait there’s The Hang Glider, where you can take a gentle spin in the air and cool off on a sizzling summertime period. This one is surprisingly fun for both adolescents and their parents. Children desiring to go on the Pirate Ship but won’t travel because it’s “too scary” may enjoy the similar, kid-friendly Coastal Clipper which but quite a bit tamer. There’s likewise the slight exhilarates aboard the monstrous spinning roulette wheel known as The Gambler, the high-flying Paratrooper and the oldie-but-goodie Scrambler which are all enormou for burst younger children in for the scarier goes. And for some good old fashioned fun, hop aboard the Dodge’ ems Bumper Cars.

Daring Rides for Brave Little Ones
Little pilots will enjoy bustling grownups in Red Baron biplanes, while budding improve motorists clatter down the tracks of the Enchanted Railway. For boys who like to bounce( and who doesn’t ?) there are two star attractions: the Frog Hopper and Kang–ABounce. After you rebound, take your minuscule thrill-seeker for a go on the Kiddie Coaster.
For the littlest members of your family, the Kiddie Combo and Ferris Wheel are a must. On the Kiddie Combo, children can pick their state of transportation–a fire engine, moon buggy, antique car, dune buggy or sports car. The mini Ferris Wheel offers a gentle invent and cool notions from a not-too-high vantage point. There’s too Safari Jeep( watch out for giraffes and lions !), the Kiddie Boats, The Space Racer, The Wagon Train and the beautiful antique carousel.
Check the website to see how tall( or how big) you need to be to go on each travel. If you have a kiddo between 48 ” – 54 ” tall they can go on everything — these luck chaps and damsels are tall enough for the big goes, but not extremely tall to still enjoy the little teenager travels!

What to Eat
Outside menu isn’t allowed inside Wild Waves, but we’ve found that packing a few granola forbids in your baggage to keep everyone vanishing is fine with staff at the acces gate. You can bring your own non-glass water bottle( or buy an official Wild Waves cup) and refill it with sparkler spray for free from any concession stand.
There’s lots of food hand-pickeds available in the common including burgers, fries, clam chowder, tacos, ice cream, caramel apples and homemade fudge. The Dipping Dots are very popular and don’t leave the park without trying the Ultimate Elephant Ear( it’s so big, a family of four could share one ). Topped with cinnamon, carbohydrate, raspberry jam-pack, beat cream and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, it’s pure decadence! Find them at the Snack Shop near the prime entrance, along with cotton candy and other treats.
Like numerous theme parks, the menu here is expensive and not awfully healthful. You may want to compress a cool and left open in your vehicle. When everyone’s hungry, exactly leader to the car for a quick bite to eat. It’s also a great break away from the crowds. Just be sure to get your hand stomped when you depart so you can come back in!
