Last year discovered the Pixies celebrate the 30 th anniversary of their influential entry recording, Surfer Rosa. However, 2019 will see the veteran alt-rockers add to their discography with a new album.
The forthcoming effort is owing for handout in September. Writing discussions for the as-yet-untitled LP were assembled throughout 2018, while preserving has just taken place this past December at Dreamland studios near Woodstock, New York. Tom Dalgerty, known for his work with Ghost and Royal Blood, treated production.
As a press statement notations, the new album labels the second for this incarnation of Pixies’ lineup — Joey Santiago( guitars ), Black Francis( vocals/ guitars ), David Lovering( rhythms ), and Paz Lenchantin( bass/ vocals) — and the eighth overall for the band following 2016′ s Head Carrier.

While Fairy don’t yet have a single for handout, fans won’t have to wait too long for a peek into the brand-new book. They have teamed up with Signal Co. No1, a NY-based podcast corporation, to propel a new weekly succession substantiating the group’s entering process.
