I’ve had the occasional small infestation of fruit flies, but never had any problems with them before, but the shitty accommodation I’m living in now has become infested like I’ve ever seen.

I have 8 business pomace fly traps and a few of the bowls with saran wrap on top decide around, and they get probably 50 -1 00 each capture, every day. I’ve thrown away all menu outside of the refrigerator, checked all cabinets, am taking out the litter 2-3 times a day( and bathing anything that goes in there that might attract them, as well as taking out food trash immediately ). I have made bleach in all the drains and have started dumping large flowerpots of evaporating water down every exhaust in the house 2-3 times a day. I’m washing foods and skin-deeps as soon as they’re worked and clearing sure there’s no sit water.

Sometimes it seems like I’m making progress, but then they come back with a vengeance. I’m currently on like daylight 5-6 of this chore, but I’m theory the problem is that I haven’t been able to identify the source of the infestation. I am absolutely beside myself and don’t know what else to do.

They were mostly in the kitchen and shower at first, so I be concentrated on those chambers, but they have now spread to every part of the house. I’m currently hidden in my bedroom( which until today has been almost fly-free) and I’m being bustled by 5-6 flies that I see around me here, right now. They seem attracted to me and I’ve had them fly into my nose and mouth. It’s shaping me lose my mind. I’ve started snacking outside because I literally can’t make anything without them being all over it in seconds.

I have exploited beer, white vinegar, and rice wine-coloured vinegar fairly well, but went out and bought a large container of apple cider vinegar today, since everywhere seems to say that’s the best lure, but they don’t seem interested in it?

I’m positive they are outcome flies though – no white-haired knock places like drainage flies, and no seeds or anything else that may have brought them in, and I’m sure the infestation had begun in the kitchen initially.

It’s getting to the point where I’m gues I may have to hire an exterminator, but I’ve never is doing so and don’t know what to expect.

All of that tell me anything, I suspect I have a few questions: 1. Is there anything else I can do that I’m not currently doing? 2. Is there a peak number of catches I should situate? Can there be too many? 3. Where else could I look for the source of the infestation? 4. What would it was like having exterminators out – what do they do when they come out for result flies? Will they try to locate the source? 5. Any other admonition/ names of wisdom/ comfort?

I’m fully losing it and can’t stop living like this. I’m so devastated. I’ve NEVER had anything like this before and it’s making me crazy. I literally get bustled by a fly every few seconds, all day, every day, and now I’m left without a single angle of my house that I can get a little respite from it all.
