ANDREA Raptis never cuss, but this was an exception.

Minutes in to the auction of her dwelling at 10 Lindsay Street, Hawthorne( illustrated below ), and the attempts were rising a little faster as her blood pressure.

With 20 cross-file bidders and a murderer opening attempt of $1.252 m, momentum knocked in and digits were flying.

The bidding contacted $1.715 m and Mrs Raptis was holding back tears. “I don’t swear, but &*%$, ” said.

The couple could scarcely contain their hullabaloo as the bids saved rising- $1.731, $1.735, $1.736, until it finally paused at $1.752 m. Going once, croaking twice and it was gone- $400,000 above expectations.

The young pair from Sydney had won.

“Holy *&%$, ” Mr Raptis said. “God bless interstate lockdowns.”

The customers, who wished to remain private, were originally from Queensland and were moving back to be closer to family. They had fallen in love with the home- extremely the cubby room out the back, which would be perfect for their three-year-old son.
