It’s not entirely clear who was clamoring for more movies in the G.I. Joe franchise, but if it utters us Henry Golding seeming intense while wielding a katana in the rainfall, it’s hard to get mad about it.
Snake Eyes is the origin story for the super-mysterious eponymous commando and martial arts master of the G.I. Joe team. Golding( Crazy Rich Asians, A Simple Favor) ousts Ray “Darth Maul” Park, who toy the( speechles) capacity in the previous G.I. Joe movies.
While this minute-long trailer — more of a teaser, truly — doesn’t apply us much new information about the character, it does leave us Golding defending with a sword on top of a gondola, crusading with a artillery from within a auto, searching concerned while serious husbands explain things ominously, and foreseeing Snake Eyes’ trademark visor.
