During a Tuesday-night investor event, AT& T announced that every DC movie, including the newly exhausted Joker, will stream alone on HBO Max when it opens in May 2020. With Apple, Disney, and other entertainment heavyweights propelling their own streaming platforms, the pressure is on HBO Max to deliver something worth the price of admission.

The DCEU movies could prove to be a major select. Joker, performing Joaquin Phoenix, is widely considered to be one of the best comic book movies in years. On transcend of that, Joker dethroned Deadpool as the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. While esteemed awarding shows usually ignore superhero movies( except for technological lists like special effects and sound editing ), Joker received a surprising reaction after its debut. At an investor event on Tuesday, October 29, HBO chief content officer Kevin Reilly announced that DC movies would soon become the exclusive streaming realm of HBO Max. The brand-new scaffold is set to launch in May 2020. In addition to the modern DCEU cinemas like Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, and Joker, HBO Max will too stream every Batman and Superman movie exhausted over the past four decades. While Marvel’s biggest freeings have been available on Netflix after their theatrical flees, the latest DC movies have been harder to find. Now, devotees of the DCEU and classic Superman cinemas can watch all of their favorite superhero movies in one place.
