Singer-songwriter Dodie Clark hoodwinked us all.
Since April of last year, the YouTuber has been singing a couple of words ever-so-subtly in each of her videos. When these snippets are edited together, they form a choru — “Arms Unfolding” — which appears on her latest EP. Although the song was uploaded to her channel in August of 2018, the full EP, entitled Human, drooped January 17.
The song does feel very “scrapbook-style, ” as Dodie describes it. Nonetheless, this is really cute and emphatically obligated me smile. In the video above, she like to remind you that no one in the comments really picked up on her hopes, though some adroit viewers noticed that it sometimes resonated like she was singing. Read more …
