What About Hostels in Winnipeg?
Believe it or not, there is a lack of defined “hostels” in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
There is one dorm house, but quite frankly it’s not located in the best area of municipality and I hesitate to guide you there.
Instead, if traveling on a fund I show checking out our top budget hotels: Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park or the Queen Bee Hotel.
While Winnipeg is largely a safe home to see, like any municipality there are some areas to steer clear of( in general, the range only north of Portage is a no-go, but I most recommend you do your own research on this, as it’s a immense generalization ).
That said, if you’re backpacking through Winnipeg and are looking to meet fellow travelers, I recommend examining on Meetup.com or Airbnb Event- there are groups and activities on those sites for almost every taste.
