HBO’s new hidden trailer for Westworld shows season 3 as being a nostalgic humor. Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan’s adaptation of Michael Crichton’s 1973 sci-fi movie will finally return to HBO next month, nearly two years after its second season knocked off in April 2018. Whereas Westworld season one was an all-around success for the network, its sophomore chapter was far more polarizing due to its labyrinth-like and, for many spectators, confusing-for-its-own-sake narrative. Season three seeks to have a much more straightforward plot by comparison, if also one that’s a far cry from the narrations in past installments.

Last week, HBO exhausted a full-length trailer for Westworld season three that demonstrated Dolores( Evan Rachel Wood) attempting to start a robot uprising while teaming up with a – seemingly – human Los Angeles construction worker worded Caleb( Aaron Paul ). The system has all along been launched a pair of concealed trailers that further hint at the demise and devastation Dolores starts with her assault at a revolution, putting her on a collision course with her fellow emcee Maeve( Thandie Newtwon) in the process. However, for its latest preview, HBO is taking a decidedly different approach.

The network has since exposed a third trailer, albeit one that’s revised to see Westworld season three look like a rom-com about Dolores and Caleb. See for yourselves, below.

Obviously, the brand-new trailer was designed to be an amusingly misleading the representatives from what Westworld season three is actually like. All the same, it performs Dolores and Caleb do form a quasi-romantic relationship after Dolores drafts the latter for her rebellion, recognizing( in many ways) he’s as much a pawn of the potent people who rule his world as she was back in the Westworld park. The trailer likewise features a brief appearance by Lena Waithe and Marshawn Lynch’s reputations, who carried out under bank pillages as a surface hustle with Caleb. Tessa Thompson makes an evenly brief impression here as a emcee copy of Delos Executive Director Charlotte Hale controlled by Dolores, pestering her own portion to play in season three.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Westworld without some confidentials, and the marketing for season three previously has it fair share of those. In addition to playing coy about how Bernard( Jeffrey Wright) fits into this season, HBO has yet to explain why Maeve agrees to do battle with Dolores in the first place. The rom-com trailer also offers a peek of Dolores and Caleb riding on horseback in what appears to be Westworld, intimating they return to the park in season three for grounds that are entirely inconclusive right now. Fingers bridged, the excursion to learning these reacts will prove to be a slaking one.
