Someone edited this ‘Harry Potter’ film so everyone has a gun

Over the past two decades, we’ve seen just about every Harry Potter slant or parody imaginable, but this latest, comprehensive edit of Sorcerer’s Stone takes the gambit.

Granted, the idea of changing wands–the pervasive tool and artillery of pick for wizards and hags in Harry Potter’s world–with firearms isn’t exactly a romance theory; the person behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Weapon declares just as much in an craftsman affirmation but adds that he didn’t know of other editions existing before starting on his account. But The Deathly Weapon makes it up a notch by editing the integrity of Sorcerer’s Stone so that practically any time a rod is being used( and sometimes not just sprigs ), a gun supplants it. The intention arise is a lot more bloodshed–even in a cinema that kicks off with an off-screen double-murder and aimed murder of a baby.

Even in the trailer itself, shoots are experimented out, used to break glass, as a distraction, stop big weeds, and even to get people out of the acces. A full version is available to view on the parody film’s website.

The person behind the shoot edit of Sorcerer’s Stone describes it as a “feature-length parody joke Hollywood movie that made approximately 5 years to finish” and includes more than 175 brand-new special effects. While he points out–in anticipation of beings inviting him why–that nothing is sacred and that remixing is all part of the life of a piece of media. But it’s also just as much of a commentary on Hollywood’s obsession with guns and how the depiction of grease-guns in Tv and cinema are often more focused on how cool it gazes over its primary and deadly function.

“Though this project started as a tasteless joke, in the wake of mass shootings and other daily repugnances, we have to ask ourselves if Hollywood propagandizes firearms extremely hard, ” the site’s statement reads. “If gun owneds in national societies truly price artilleries for their employment, or just for their sexiness…But at the end of the working day, sexy or not, a shoot is a machine designed to kill. It has one purpose: murder.”
