Speaking to us last week at Ce, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the company’s next major telephones — probably the OnePlus 8 — will feature screens with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Lau is not one for intricacy, and claimed in a notation to us sent last-minute that it would be “the best smartphone display in 2020. ” Having not appreciated it, we certainly can’t say if that declaration is more than really bombast.
OnePlus says that it worked with Samsung to develop the OLED screen, and that in addition it has done work on top of Android to improve animations( extremely the core OS gesticulates) so they’ll look smoother at 120 Hz.
OnePlus also intends to use a patronage MEMC( gesture appraisal/ action compensation) chip to insert extra enclose into videos to accompanied them up…
