Writer/ superintendent Paul W.S. Anderson’s Monster Hunter reminds us how rare good video game movies are, creating a film stunning for the whole way it steps wrong.

Behind our world, there is another: a world-wide of dangerous and powerful demons that power their domain with deadly cruelty. When an sudden sandstorm moves Captain Artemis( Milla Jovovich) and her section( TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are stunned to discover that this hostile and uncharted environment is home to enormous and terrifying demons immune to their firepower.

In their hopeles clash for existence, the human rights unit encounters the mysterious Hunter( Tony Jaa ), whose distinct talents allow him to stay one step ahead of the potent beings. As Artemis and Hunter slowly improve cartel, she discovers that he is part of a squad led by the Admiral( Ron Perlman ). Facing a peril so great it could threaten to destroy their nature, the brave soldiers blend their distinct cleverness to band together for the eventual showdown.

Based on the world video game series phenomenon Monster Hunter, the movie is written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson( Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat ). Monster Hunter opens December 18.
