Pom opened up in an interview in 2013 about how her father passed away from cancer when she was 5 and her mother was unable to raise her because of her schizophrenia.
She was raised by her paternal uncle, who died on her 18 th birthday.
“My uncle was like my second papa, ” she said. “When he died, I first went to law school to please my aunt, but it time wasn’t for me. Then I acted as a waitress and saleswoman in Paris. I didn’t want to do that for the rest of my life. I was 18 and wanted to do something that can help me express my feelings.”
