What is Himalayan Startup Trek?

Launched in 2017, the Himalayan Startup Trek brings together various stakeholders of the Indian startup ecosystem and connects them on a single stage. This year, the HGC aims to identify and support inventive technology-based mixtures in three vast categories. Themes of the event

The HGC consists of three themes, which are sponsored by different stakeholders. The first topic’ The New Age Alliance – Human-Computer Interaction’ sponsored by iHub and HCI Foundation, IIT Mandi, aims to promote the use of intelligent interfaces and technological sciences in people’s daily numbers as well as in complex business and social decision-making processes.

With themes like brain-computer interaction, assistive technologies to aid and enhance human functioning and decision-making, the use of advanced engineerings to enhance cognitive abilities of the human rights, and use of artificial intelligence to aid human decision-making, prognosi, communication and processing, this category focuses on the design of computer technology in a way that its intelligence and computational capabilities can be utilised for good.

The second theme’ The Foothill Innovators Challenge – Build For Himalayas’, sponsored by SJVNL and compliance patronage, target at innovators and aspiring industrialists who have the intent and passion to build technology-based mixtures for solving the social, fiscal, and environmental challenges faced by Himalayan regions.

It consists of themes like mountain road safety, disaster management and prevention, supply and demand challenges faced by Himalayan agriculture, involvements to scale neighbourhood products and services, rural development, and other questions faced by the Himalayan regions. With themes like climate change, management of natural resources, renewable and clean-living energy mixtures, and waste management and recycling, this theme aims to encourage inventors to build mixtures that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals such as waste management, e-vehicles, green answers, and recycling.

With prize money of upto Rs 2 lakh each to be awarded to the top startups in every theme, this is the perfect platform for aspiring financiers, university student, and young professionals as it provides them with a chance to rack their abilities at the ideation and paradigm stagecoaches. Top startups will likewise be provided incubation support and access to financing planneds at Catalyst.

While it welcomes unregistered crews and individuals, cross-file startups, startups in the pre-seed stage, and innovators/ investigates owning a validated technology are also welcome to participate in the event.

All applications will assess a jury board consisting of representatives of sponsoring business, incubation cores, thematic professionals, and technological sciences professionals in a multi-stage screening and selection process.
