In the trailer for Netflix’s The Old Guard, Nile( KiKi Layne) comes kidnapped by Andy( Charlize Theron) in what will prove to be the most intense scheduled interview ever.
Andy is part of the old guard — a word no one says in the trailer, but you get it — groupings of boxers who have been taking on secret operations to protect the world ever since the Crusades. Nile may be a new recruit, but she promptly learns that most of the team has been on the job for centuries and effectively immortal.
